OK, It KEEPS coming up in the movie thread...

I was seriously told it's a "must see." Is it incredibly sad? Like Hachi sad? Disturbingly real like The Pianist? Completely effed up like Changeling?

I need to know if I can tolerate it or if it comes off the list....

Most depressing film I ever watched. It was excellent and really well done, but if I had the choice again I wouldn't watch it - especially not on a plane where I was the one bawling my eyes out. You will need tissues.

It's a very good movie, but extremely sad. I have to agree with the previous comment. I saw it and definitely liked it. However, I wouldn't want to watch it again, because it is that sad of a movie. I do suggest watching it at least once to remind ourselves of the horrors that took place during the holocaust.

Sadder than a homeless puppy that dies???

    OK, I'm out.

How it's described is how I feel about The Pianist. Glad I saw it, but it literally made me ill to watch and I can't ever watch it again. And since I just saw that within a month, I'm going to have to pass on this one.

I had enough trouble watching Schindler's List. The shower scene nearly killed me, and I had even read the book and knew what was going to happen. I won't be watching this one.

    Very sad.

After I saw schindlers list,I couldn't let go of how sad I was for a few days.

This was the same for me.
  • I am not a crier, especially during movies. This one, I bawled my eyes out! It was a fantastic and wonderful movie that went a step farther than Life is Beautiful and Schindler's List. Even if you cry your eyes out, watch this movie!!!!
