Timely topic! I am starting two a day workouts tomorrow. No matter how much, how little, what type, timing, etc, I eat I cannot lose. Currently stuck at 160 and goal is 140. Has taken me a loooonnnngggg time to get here. Tomorrow I am going to start doing my insanity or heavy weights in the morn with a run in the evening. 6 days of 7 and see if I get any results. I am hoping it helps boost metabolism until it is dry enough here that I can bike back and fourth to work(10miles round trip) and then that will take over one workout. Good luck and remember to change up what you are doing!0

bump for feedback
I've been thinking of adding a morning walk (20-30 mins just to get me going in the am) to my routine (current working out 4-5x week at night)0 -
***** to get off this plateau. But my schedule is grueling in nursing school but if it were different I would definitely do it. A work out is a good way to get energy for ur day and give ur metabolism an good headstart for the day. It releases awesome feel good hormones but if u need more rest in the beginning don't be afraid to rest. Ur bodies may not be used to it n need sometime to adjust. Listen to ur body .Good luck girl u can do it0

Hey girl.. I started it today and did yoga and cardio this morning then went back and did cardio for 30 min tonight just to get my heart rate up then I focused on weights.. I am leaving the abs til late in the day bc they always kill me! good luck!0

I do but for different reasons...I go in the morning so I can do my own thing, be in my zone and not be bothered (I'm usually the only one there, LOL) and then I go in the evenings because my husband lacks motivation to go unless I say lets go. Usually evenings are just some weights, a little treadmill, biking and my mornings are more intense.0

Yes, 2 a days is the only way I can lose weight also...lately can't even get one a day in but anyway...
Best if you do cardio only in the morning 25+ mins
then cardio and weights for ur pm workout.0 -
Have been getting in my two a day! Feels so good, keeps my energy up but I am starved! Have to watch what I am eating or I would really blow my cal intake.0

I've been doing 2-a-days for about 3 years. Here's my current schedule.
Monday AM P90x2 Chest and Back
Monday noon Treadmill 4 miles
Tues AM P90x2 Plyo
Tues Noon Spin class
Wed AM P90x2 Shoulders and Arms
Wed Noon Treadmill 4 miles
Thur AM P90x2 Core
Thurs noon Spin Class
Fri AM Treadmill 4 miles
Fri Noon Body Pump Class - hi rep low weight long sets lifting to music
Sat and Sunday - rest and chase kids all over the country dancing and playing soccer
It has worked great for me except lately my weights been stuck right around 200 (btw, I'm a male). I actually started using mfp to help track my calorie intake.0
