    Other then food which I have to buy anyways, I've bought a bike, a weighted bar and a pair of shoes. So over the course of a year, maybe $200.

    i don't want to know...a lot, but not as much as i would have spent on doctors bills, co pays, insurance premiums, physical therapy, emotional therapy, hospital bills, medications, rehab equipment, and a likely divorce if my health and state of mind didn't improve.

    I was just thinking about how much I've invested so far in my quest to get in shape. After purchasing Body Revolution, new shoes, a HRM, weights, resistance cables, workout clothes, protein powder, etc, etc.....I think I'm at about $500 over the past 3 months. Granted most of it is one time purchases, but I think it's been worth every penny. :happy:

    Well, there was both stints (years ago) with the SlimFast. Hundreds. Not counting the priceless tooth it broke. Not worth it.
    The treadmill. $850 Not necessarily purchased for weight loss at the time. Totally worth it... even if it's currently in storage because I don't have room.
    Some pilates DVDs I got off Amazon. Probably $10 for both together. Worth it.
    Pilates mat. $15. Worth it.

    This time around with MFP. Have spent NOTHING. Not a penny. COMPLETELY. COMPLETELY. WORTH IT.

    I do, eventually plan to purchase a food scale. So, however cheap I can get one of those for. But honestly. I got this far without one. Measuring some and mostly eyeballing it. I have great skill with eyeballing, generally.

    A gym membership one day, or if I get the room in my next place I'm just stealing my dad's stationary bike and home gym thing.

    Things I've used but didn't have to purchase: measuring cups/spoons. Measuring tape. Band things. Hand weights. Human scale.

    New shoes but who doesn't need shoes? I don't count that.....my old shoes were nearly 2 years old $65
    New workout clothes as I lost weight (need new gear again!) maybe $200
    Gym membership $89/month

    I do not use supplements or meal replacements of any kind.

    Totally worth it!

    Shoes - I needed new shoes anyways
    Sports bras - $50
    Scale - $20
    Food comes out about the same, and I didn't get specialized workout clothes.
    So $70ish over the past year.

    But my apartment has a pool, and my college has a gym that's free for students. And I was already pretty much doing dinners from scratch half the time, so I had all the kitchen stuff I needed. If that counts, it could easily add over a hundred.

    :cry: I honestly don't want to add it ALL up.
    Over the years I have bought a treadmill, elliptical, stair climber, numerous pedometers, exercise videos, Skechers Shape-Ups, workout clothes, tried Nutri-System, a Wii game system with Wii Fit & Wii Fit Plus.
    The exercise equipment got sold at garage sales, the batteries on my pedometers wore out & I stopped buying batteries, Skechers ended up in a lawsuit over the shape-ups & I ended up needing an arch reconstruction on my foot, I still have the workout clothes but they don't fit me now, hated the "sauce" on all the NS dinner foods & my Wii game system is collecting dust in our entertainment cabinet.
    I joined a gym last month & am now working with a personal trainer that I pay $300 a month to for the next 8 months - so I'd better stick with him or that will be more money that I have wasted.

    I didnt spend $ to get fat (other then food)- i wont spend much to lose the fat either (again- other then food). I may join a gym for $10/mo eventually but thatll be bout it. I refuse to spend tons of money.

    I haven't spent anything on weight loss. I have a food scale anyway, because I like to use recipes written by Europeans and I need to be able to measure in grams. I spend money on recreation, like a gym membership, a mountain bike, athletic shoes, and skis.

    5lb ankle/wrist weights -$10
    your shape: fitness evolved- $10
    Scale- $20 but I'll be buying a new one soon so that will be around $60 ish

    and that's about it so far.. not including gifts or groceries... 70$ + the new scale that I will be buying $130.

    Probably around £1000 GBP in the last year. Mostly on weights and equipment for my home gym, fitbit, HRM, etc. which I'm happy with now so the next year should be cheaper.
