I have always worn size 16/18, since losing a stone and exercising more i took some measurements to see what clothes size i would be....my hips and bust point towards 12, but waist is still 18? Can that be right? I have looked at two size guides....oh and uk sizes :-)

Thanks from a confused size 16 wearer....still havent the guts to buy any other size!

Every shop has different sizes in the UK a 14 in one is a 16 or a 12 in another. Also the size of the same item if its made on different days in the factory can be different.

Don't worry about numbers and wear what looks good on you!

Thanks both. Yep I know I should just go and buy clothes...I hate shopping as it is and I still cant get my head around wearing a smaller size. I did try on a size 14 wedding dress yesterday and that was a such an emotional dread to just do it!...it was curiosity really as I want to buy my wedding dress online and they all say to measure first....hence the dreaded tape measure!
