Well, I've been lurking on these messages boards for a few weeks and decdied to finally post. Sorry in advance for such a long entry! I'm not new to MFP, but new to using it again since giving birth. BTW, I'm 5'2". A little back story.. was always a little overweight my entire life, was never happy about it, but never tried THAT hard to lose it. Finally in July of 2009 I decided to do something about it when hitting 171 lbs. I had just saw my best friend, who was always heavier than I, lose a ton of weight from a clinic so I decided to follow suit. I joined a weightloss clinic and took appetite suppressants and got B12 shots and from July to November, I got down to 138 lbs. I was finally feeling happy and confident again, I loved it! I then met my now husband. He too had just lost a ton of weight too and together we were eating healthy and exercising. It was great. Then we got "fat and happy" (and LAZY) and I gained some weight back, but for the most part stayed around 145-150 and was "content" with that even though it still had me in the overweight category for my height. WE got married in Feb 2012. Fast forward, I gained over 50 lbs while pregnant and didn't exercise at all. (I was full of excuses and just didn't care). So here I am again, trying to lose this baby weight. I've done a pretty good job, lost over 40 lbs since giving birth on 11/16/12 but since January is when I really began trying to exercise and watch (track) what I eat. I reset my MFP starting weight on 12/30 when I joined a challenge in a Facebook group. It was a money challenge that I didn't win (weekly weigh ins/winnings) but I still lost a decent amount of weight participating and about $20, was worth it to me. Fell off the wagon in February/March between multiple weddings and other events but have now been pretty good. I even started a money challenge in another FB group, and have won 4 out of 7 weeks! Very motivating (over $50!!) Anyways on Jan 30th I put together these goals to hit 145 by 6 months postpartum (PP), and today I decided to make 135 my goal and reevaluate my timeline to reach it (this would put me in a healthy range for my height) I went and looked back in MFP history from weighing in and this is what I had listed. I'm currently running at least 30 mins/3x a week - hoping to up that to closer to 1hr+ as I prepare for a 1/2 marathon in December, and go for walks most nights even if I run. Since I'm breastfeeding I have to be careful about limiting my calories, so I try to not go below 1500 (and always make up what I exercise off). And here is the goal/plan to get to my goal of 135 by 10 months postpartum (5 lbs/month)
02/17/12(Day before Wedding): 147.2
03/05/12 (Day after getting back from honeymoon): 160.4 --> yes I gained that much on a 2 week cruise, disgusting!
04/18/12 (Got my positive pregnancy test): 149.6
04/26/12 (Dr. Confirmed I was Pregnant): 153.2 --> this is what I consider my "pre-pregnancy weight"
11/14/12 (Last Dr Appt before delivery) 208 -> (this one is still an estimate since I didn’t weigh in and can't remember, but it was around here)
And these were my goals as of 1/30 when I weighed 175
02/18/13 (1st Anniversary): 170
Actual 174.4
03/15/13 (sister’s wedding/almost 4 months PP): 165
Actual 168 (on 3/14 since we weren’t home on 3/15
04/16/13 (5 months PP): 155
Actual 165.2
05/16/13 (6 months PP): 150
New Goal: 155
06/16/13 (7 months PP): 145
New Goal: 150
07/16/13 (8 months PP) – didn’t exist
New Goal: 145
08/16/13 (9 months PP) – didn’t exist
New Goal: 140
09/16/13 (10 months PP) – didn’t exist
New Goal: 135
