I am just tired of the ups and downs of weight loss. I have been on the roller coaster and I want to change. I am 225 right now and about 28 % body fat. I am only 26 and I am tired and a little depressed. Does anyone have kind words to help me reach my target weight of 195? Its a decent and reachable goal. Thanks for the help

Good luck to you! I really wish I took care of myself at 26 when I had about as much as you to lose. I am now 33 and looking at 50 lbs to lose. It will be so much easier for you to do it now rather than put it off like me. You can do it! This is a perfect time for it! Best of luck to you and keep coming here for support.

I have asked myself this many times. I think the hardest part is just getting started. Looks like your off to a great start!

Olena~ How do you write things under your ticker like goals and such....????
  • I'm 38 and I just got serious about this in four months ago. I weighed up to 235 and hated it. I made excuses about how I would look like an alien at the proper weight. I wish now that I would have started at your age. It's so much harder to take off weight now. BUT I did take off 20 lbs from 205 to 185 in less than 4 months. It can be done! Sometimes it isn't fun. I had times of sadness for not being able to eat whatever I liked. But the results are indisputable. And looking back, in that that short time, I have made changes to my lifestyle that cannot be reversed. So you can do it! Just remember to keep your eye on the goal and push through the times that suck.

I am beginning to believe that if I surround myself with good friends, depend on God, and not be afraid to ask for help, I can do anything. Thanks so much for your kindness.

You're so amazingly right. You can do anything you set your mind to!
