I am 30 years old and weighed in at 143 this morning...ugh...I was down to 141.6 last weigh in last Friday. I want t be down AT LEAST 10 lbs by June 1st. I would really love to be down 15 lbs. Anyway, I want to keep a steady weight loss of 1-2 lbs as a week going, which I was doing for the first 3 weeks and this week I gained. Ugh again. Anyway, I would really like some help or sample days of what to eat. I don't eat fish, so no tuna or anything like that! I know I need to eat some fruit, but I am a big fruit ever. I do love veggies though! Plllease help!!!! Thanks!!!

Stick with "whole" foods and you can't go wrong. Lean meats, veggies, fruit (not store bought juice) whole grains, cheese can all be part of a healthy diet. Nuts, nut butters, olive oil ... are all sources of healthy fat.

Breakfast example: greek yogurt (protein) - dry cereal (high fiber/carbs)

Lunch example: cottage cheese (protein) - pineapple - green salad with dressing (fiber & "good" fat) - wheat toast (fiber/carbs)

Dinner example: chicken (protein) - brown rice pilaf (fiber/carbs) - brocolli (fiber again)

Snacks (planned during day) round out what is "missing" .... generally another serving of fruit or veggies, popcorn, nuts

Protein, fat and fiber all help you stay full longer.

In addition to the excellent suggestions in the previous post, I highly recommend Cooking Light magazine. They have a lot of really interesting recipes, which I've found pretty easy to prepare overall. Plus, their recipes are accompanied by nutrition information.

Thanks for the advice! I reallllllly want to get these 10 lbs off. I've done it before, but I was younger. I really believe the miracle number when it gets harder is 30!!!
