Depending on the stress I either eat or starve. Today for me was a starve day. It is rare that I end up with so much stress that I starve myself but the idea of eating well it just made me sick. With normal stress I eat. But today was really awful, probably the worst day I have had in about a year. So I can't say that is is normal for me to do. the really bad part is at the end of one of these horrible days i don't eat all day and then the wine comes out to play. I get it isn't health but honestly I do feel so much better now. Tomorrow I will get back on track. For tonight I am offically chilled out.
So how does everybody else deal with stress???

Sleep and 'starve' are my Stress methods.
Also "intensifying my control freak gene" (which is where the 'starve' part comes in, I guess)0 -
I Workout till I am too tired to feel crazy, stressed, upset, etc. then I feel calm enough to make sensible choices0

This for me, as well as weight lifting.
I either do Turbo Kick, or I pick up really heavy barbells and put them back down.0 -
How about taking some time to refocus yourself and give yourself some much needed attention for at least a short amount of time before you eat? (eg. a 30 minute soak in the bath with some nice candles, or just taking 10 to read a chapter of a book). Then get your food ready and hopefully you'll be a bit calmer and relaxed and can enjoy your meal (:0

If the stress is really bad I don't eat and I sleep lots...
If it's mild stress I workout (kickbox, go for a run, go outside), take a bath, cry, talk to people I love. Sometimes a good cry solves a lot.0 -
Try breathing exercises. Doasone.com is a good place to learn how. Some people make it a new age thing or something, but I look at it as just breathing, and it works. ( No disrespect to new agers, just not my thing) I do 20 minutes at a time. I actually took a 3 day class on learning breathing exercises, but you can find them on youtube or even get an app for your phone.
Exercise works too, but I really think the reason that works has to do with breathing also. Yoga is good, especially if you do the correct breathing with it. I am like you, when I am extremely stressed, I have no appetite. Just a little stressed, I want to eat.0 -
With days like I had taking even 5 minutes to myself just wasn't happening. It was a rare occurance like I said last time was about a year ago. For me the stress had to be dealt with when quite frankly I just wanted shut my phone off and hide my head under a pillow and wait for the storm to pass, figuratively speaking. I am just glad I got through it and it's over. Tomorrow I am going to do nothing but make my saturday morning pancakes and hang out with my 4 little monsters. I am really looking forward to a quite day with them after my day from hell today.0
