Getting through "one of those days"

You know, "one of those days" when toddler didn't sleep well, was up at 6am and has screamed the house down since (and you know it's not going to get much better until bed time), older ones are fighting non-stop, your husband is grumpy, the house is a mess and it needs a team of 5 cleaners to get it looking semi-presentable (and you would give an arm or a leg for even one of them!), you have a massive list of errands to get through and can't even get out for a walk as your knee is sore. It's also TOTM and makes it all seem ten times worse!
Would love a big bowl of ice cream!!! Would settle for few chocolate biscuits but know if I start I won't stop until the packet is finished.

Gotta stay positive.0 -
Try a nice egg white omelet with loads of veggies. Very filling. Try not to eat the bad stuff because if you do you know you'll beat yourself up all day long or worse keep eating bad stuff. Hang in there!0

Argh i can totally relate some days!
Coping with the harder days has always been difficult for me and im still learning but. i find going back over (even writting it down)
the reasons why you want to get healthy or lose weight can help. also (not that you have the time ) but watching youtube videos of weightloss transformations is really inspiring and can help you get your focus back of why you were doing it in the first place.
Basically really concerntrate on finding/looking back over things that inspire you to keep trucking on and not have a massive calorie blowout IF you know you will regret it.
hope that made sense im tired lol. and i hope tomorrow is a much better day for you! ask yourself how you would feel after eating the ice cream verses how you would feel after keeping up with the healthy choices0 -
Oohhhhh I so know about this, my 3 are a tag team waking me up, house looks like a pig sty everyone is ratty but despite all of this TODAY WILL BE A GOOD DAY (forced smile lol) I will get through the day by soaking up some of this amazing sun - kick starting my c25k plan and plenty of caffeine mmuuuhhhaaaa :noway:0

Glad it's not only me, days like this always make me feel like a cr*p mother! Taking plenty of caffeine and ended up having a very early lunch 11:30am!), if I'm going to eat at least it is going to be proper food and not sweets!
Six more hours until bed time, hope I manage without killing anybody. Sun is great as at least they can go fight in the garden, lol0 -
I know all about those kinds of days! I'm a stay at home mom to a two and a half year old and my fiance works 12-16 hour days, oftentimes not getting home until 3 am and leaving almost immediately after he wakes up. Not a lot of family support, either and it gets REALLY tough. I can't usually exercise until nap time and that's when I usually just want to take a nap or watch a movie on the couch!
I don't have too much help to offer because I feel like I'm in the same boat some days, but just know you're not alone and thousands of other moms have gotten to their goal and it really will have that much more of a positive impact on your family. Getting to where you want to be will make everything else seem a little bit better!!0 -
I can relate to the toddler thing. My little one is sick right now though, so I get it. I'm sick as well, we're just two miserable people right now. Though despite being sick I could go for some chocolate right about now, but alas, my stomach will not appreciate it, so bland diet it is for now.
I hope the sun comes out, we had crazy storms last night so its still a bit overcast.0 -
On those out-of-control days it grounds me to stick to my health goals because it seems that is the ONLY thing I am able to have control over or a positive influence on hehehe.0

Really helped me get through keeping on top of everything, particularly when my children were little. Makes life a breeze now that they're bigger. It's all free, give it a try.0 -
It ends one day and they are grown and gone.
My oldest had colic for a year and screamed pretty much nonstop. He'd only nap 45-60 mins at a time. He did that until he was four. It was absolutly horrible. No one would sit for us beyond one day some even called us to come back and get him.
Took me eight years to agree to have another child, I was gunshy. He turned out to be a nice quiet baby.
That being said there are a lot of times I wish my kids were still little even if they cried all the time.
Tomorrow will be calmer and happier. Stay away from the junk and you'll love yourself even more tomorrow.0
