Are you exercising?0

Yep - in your previous pst you say your BMR is 1360 - you should not be netting lower than your BMR, so you are not eating enough.....happens all the time.
If you search the 1200 threads you will see the same thing over and over. People eat too little and the do not les any weight.
Do your calculations using the roadmap that someone linked here - and the eat between your TDEE and your BMR
Good luck :-)
This is the latest version.....

Google TDEE, minus 20% from your TDEE, eat that amount every day.0

To be fair you haven't looked at her diary properly. There are plenty of days when she's over her net.0 -

You are consistently way over your sugar and carb allowance. Your body can only process so many sugar grams before the excess gets stored as fat.0

Oh stop please....No carb bashing. It's not creating a deficit that affects your losses.0 -
I'd google and find out your TDEE and eat 20% less. You're probably not eating enough, especially if you're exercising.
To another that said she is consistently over on carbs, her daily amount is only 60g so even being over a little is still low-carb especially compared to many on here. For the record, I don't the carb amount is the problem. Your carb amounts look good to me (but then again, I'm a low carber myself). I don't think its the sugar either .. from checking out a few days, it seems you're not that much over on most days and a lot of it is coming from fruit. That isn't to say you should just go crazy on added sugar .. I'd limit added sugar as much as possible but I don't think that's the issue here.0 -
Peanut butter is good for you. You may like cabbage salads, but eating one for lunch every day isn't doing you any favors. There are SO MANY decisions you make every day that are more important than eating ~1200 calories.
Everyone is going to tell you IPOARM. That may work for you, or it may not. If you have been eating this way for a long time, your metabolism may be borked. Try raising your calories to 1400 for a week or two, and eating more protein.
The absolute best advice I can possibly give you is what I have only really figured out for myself in the last month or so. Dieting on diet food is not the way to go. With a little extra planning, you can lose weight by eat the foods you ate while you were gaining weight and actually ENJOYING the food. It may mean you have two chicken breasts for lunch to make room for that awesome pasta dish at dinner, but it's a LOT easier to stay on track if you are actually enjoying the vast majority of your meals.0 -

That's because it's awesome. And it works. It's basic math and biology.0 -

Nonsense.0 -
Well, eating as low as 750 cals and only up to 1400 cals is...asking for trouble...if your BMR is around 1400, then every day you should be eating more than this, just to tick over. I would say that you should be averaging 1500 cals per day or slightly more, not 1180. You would still lose weight on this meagre amount. Unless you have been eating at such low calorie amounts for ages and your body has adjusted accordingly.
To fix it then you should try the roadmap method as a lot of people have suggested. Eating at maintenance for a week or two, then dropping back down to 15 - 20 % deficit of this amount (calculators are found in the link posted earlier for your height, weight, etc).
People are trying to help you here. It may sound harsh, nasty, not the advice you were expecting, etc, but it is help none the less. There are healthy and flexible ways to get fit and correct eating patterns (call it dieting if you will)...eating low calories is not one of them...talking from experience...0 -

Sorry but too much sugar makes you fat.
And to the reply above about carb bashing, I didn't bash carbs, I just made a notation that she is consistently over her carbs. End of comment on carbs.0 -

Too much sugar makes you fat if you are eating at a surplus to your daily calorific needs - not eating at a massive deficit to TDEE.0 -

Agreed. It doesn't matter what she's eating in excess. It's the excess that makes you fat, not what food group it comes from.0 -
I understand what you are saying but I was to the understanding that your liver can only hold so much sugar and what is left over can be stored as fat.
I'm obviously still learning but I noticed when I first started if I was still under calorie but way over sugars a few days in a row, I didn't lose as much. Easter week was like that. I rarely go over my sugar levels and I consistently lose 2 pounds a week. 1 pound due to MFP profile and I burn about 4000 calories a week for the second pound.
Not saying you are wrong but not saying I'm wrong either. I do believe too much sugar is not a good thing. You and the other person that replied look very fit and can probably burn it off quickly and it not affect you.0 -
I just wanna say a massive thankyou to everyone for being so kind and trying to help me work through this. Indeed I am sometimes over my carbs and sugar amount but that is often from the 2 small servings of fruit I eat per day before lunch time, and yoghurt and vegetables. Even if i eat only salads, veggies yoghurt fruit and chicken I go over my carbs and sugar because it is set rather low. I know that if i want to lose a pound a week, I need a deficit of 500 cals a day - right, so if I am eating say 1600 cals a day and my bmr is 1340 ( i had it tested in a lab), so 1340 x 1.2 - sedentary ( i do not excercise apart from a few short dog walks a week, if that) (at the moment anyway) then I maintain on 1608 cals a day. How am I going to get that deficit without the aid of excercise?!
I NEVER and i mean i literally cant remember the last time I ate bread, potatoes, rice, pasta, couscous etc as I get my carbs from veggies and fruit etc but now people are telling me I go over my carbs every day, i can't win!0 -
googled my TDEE, it is 1615 calories, minus 20% (323) = 1292. Only 100 more calories than I am eating at the moment. Is this really gonna help me to lose more than my poxy 0.1kgs a week??0
-
I understand what you are saying but I was to the understanding that your liver can only hold so much sugar and what is left over can be stored as fat.
Fatty liver. Caused by drinking too much alcohol OR too much sugar.

If your TDEE-20% is less than your BMR then it may be too much of a deficit for you because you don't have that much to lose. Try TDEE-10% or 15%0 -

Did you read that article? I did, all of it. Obesity is related when added sugar increases total calorie consumption. Now there are lots of reasons to avoid excess sugar, but staying in your calorie limits is the way to avoid weight gain.
