So I'm going through a bit of a smoothie phase. But I've kinda hit a rut I guess, making the same kinds of smoothies over and over. Hoping some of you might have some wonderful go-to smoothie recipes to share?

I'm open to pretty much all fruits and ingredients and love trying new things so anything/everything is appreciated.

My rut-inspired smoothie that I'm currently drinking is a pineapple, mango, strawberry one. With Chobani nonfat vanilla yogurt (2 tbsp.) and about 1/2 cup of organic mango juice. I sometimes add some rolled oats to it as well.

I try to eat (drink?) one a day. I put banana, raspberries, blueberries, ice and a handful of spinach in mine.

This morning I didn't have any bananas or raspberries so I used mango and grapes instead.

I've been having the same smoothie for breakfast for a while and love it. I put 2 scoops of visalus shake mix (protein powder), 1 c. of coconut water, a bit of plain yogurt, 1 c. of oats (I put them in the grinder first so its easier to blend), 6 frozen strawberries and about 1/2 c. of frozen blueberries.

Here's a good green smoothie recipe: 3 cups spinach, 2 cups ice, 1/2 banana, 2 tbsp of peanut butter, 1 scoop of vanilla protein powder, 3/4 c. of unsweetened almond milk.

    Enjoy!

I drink my veggies with green smoothies & my favorite recipe is:
    2 cups spinach
    1 cup frozen grapes
    1/2 banana
1 tbsp almond butter or reduced fat peanut butter
    1-1 1/2 cup water
    1 tbsp. chia seeds(optional)

It's delicious, it's the healthiest version of peanut butter and jelly! Yum!!
  • Here's one of mine.

    1 cup raspberries
    3/4 cup strawberries
    1 medium banana
    1 cup semi-skimmed milk
2 tablespoons low fat vanilla yoghurt
    1 teaspoon peanut butter
    3 ice cubes

    I keep a bigger list at http://www.perfectfruitsmoothies.com/

    Enjoy.

  • Ah, so many awesome suggestions, thank you! I'm a bit stoked to try out all of them, especially the green smoothies because I know I need to get more kale and spinach into my diet.

And I really haven't thought to experiment with pomegranate or grapes in smoothies before for some reason. Yay inspiration. :)
