I have been doing a lot of hiit by fitness blender , kettlebell training and crosstrainer . I have 30-40 lbs more to lose and have lost 26 lbs since start of jan . I will give it my all , most certainly ! Pretty daunting but if i want to see result , going to have to work hard for them .

I had to stop the program because it was killing my knees but don't be afraid to take breaks--that doesn't mean you are weak or can't do it. Even the "professionals" in the workout take a lot of breaks or modify. Also, have water near by but don't drink TOO much. Finally, make sure your room is nice and cool--you will be sweating in seconds!
It is tough but you feel really accomplished when you make it through a workout! Good luck :D

Just Finished Insanity today got the last fit test tomorrow. It's gonna kill your knees, ankles, back so you might want to modify some of the heavy jumping stuff until you get use to it. I started at 330 lbs and could do the jumping but it murdered my joins.

It will suck at 1st but by the end you'll love it

    Good Luck

make sure your form is good! If you feel some pain in your knees, stop and get your center then start again. I just finished my first official week of it (I'm only doing it 4 days a week, might do more when I don't have finals) and I still have to pause during it sometimes to make sure my form is good and to get water
Also, I found that if you get side stitches, pause for a few seconds and do the breathing exercise that you do in the beginning and that should take them away. It's even better if you do them during every water break so you can make sure you don't get them for the most part
Something I learned the hard way; wear as little clothing as possible and tie your hair back as best as possible. My first time, I wore a big tshirt with a tank top under it. When I took off the tshirt, I put it on the floor and took my shoes off and started walking in my socks to get a drink of water. I stepped on the tshirt on the floor and my socks were completely soaked! Yuck! From then on, I just wore the tank top!
    Keep water handy!
    Wear a heart rate monitor!
If you have pets or roommates, they will stare at you like you're strange. In reality, they just wish they were you!
    Don't give up!
I have actually become slightly addicted to it! I'll be sitting in class on the days that I usually do Insanity and think about getting home to do it.

    Best of luck!
  • I don't know what I can tell you that will help, but I will try. I an in my third week of my second round. Definitely protect your knees and ankles. Land as soft as you can. I have had to quite in other rounds because of ankle pain. Go as hard as you can, but don't be afraid to take a break. You WILL get tired. It's ok. I do as many regular push ups as I can, then go to my knees and do as many as I can from there. If you can't do the moving push ups, do regular or girl ones...just keep trying your best. lt takes at least two weeks to get accustomed to it, so don't give up...keep pushing play. Take deep breaths and try not to hyperventilating, it will help you to go longer. Don't worry if you find the warm up hard,it will be at first. Don't worry, in two weeks it will feel like a warm up. Anything else see..let me know!

I just finished week two, and while it's tough, I love it! I was running long distances, so was in shape and that definitely helped, but this is still a killer. I was so sore the first week. If I get tired, I take a five second break and then get right back into it. I can now get through the entire warm up in each video without stopping, which in itself is a workout. Definitely get a heart rate monitor...it will give you accurate readings and help push you. I do have bad knees, however, haven't had any issues so far. I've made sure on the jumping exercises to pay attention to form and land softly.
