Can someone please give me some advice?
I have been following the fast diet, for a few weeks now and my weight just doesn't seem to be coming off. Because I have been fasting and only eating 500 cals on two days of the week i have become very focused on only eating low cal foods. On non-fast days I have only been eating around 800-900 cals. Someone has told me that I should be careful as my body will go into starvation mode and it will be harder to lose the weight. Is this right?

it sounds like you are not eating enough food, I find to get good weight loss, eat enough food, drink lots of water 8 glasses, get enough sleep at least 8-9 hours a day. exercise 3 to 5+ days a week cardo and weights training. I hope this helps0

Yes. You're supposed to eat around your maintenance level or TDEE on the 5 non-fasting days. Its going to be very difficult to provide your body with all the nutrition it needs if you keep having continual low-cal days.
What research have you done into this approach?0 -

Eat more....
If you want to do 5:2 that's fine, but you need to do it properly. At the moment you are just damaging your body by starving yourself.0 -

honey ! PLEASE GO EAT, you are not losing anything cause you are not eating ! we eat to live and we eat lose weight , FOOD IS FUEL, it's gas to our body. if we dont have gas in our car, we cant go anywhere , SAME THING if we dont have fuel in our body we cant do anything ! - GO EAT A BIG BIG BIG MEAL! & start clean with an actual functioning diet plan tomorrow0 -
I agree with the others. You aren't eating enough and your body will store the food as fat as it thinks you are in starvation mode. The best way to lose weight is to eat a healthy diet (1200 plus) and exercise. You can still eat the low fat foods but eat more of them especially if you are exercising as you body needs the fuel to keep burning the fat/calories.0
