Eating more after months of dieting and calorie restriction

Eating more after months of dieting and calorie restrictions, I gained pure body fat weight and it's sitting on my body weird. I've read and heard many many times that after disordered eating habits, you gain weight quickly and it won't sit on the body evenly but it eventually will. Is this true?

    It better be true, because im trying to.gain 3 lbs. And i kind of dont want to, but i want my family to stop commenting on my boniness.

    Awwww :( they're just scared and they love you....they want you healthy and strong.

    I just hope I can rebuild my muscles to burn this fat and lean out again. Get rid of these fatty areas of random fat. It's gross. Especially on my thighs, hips and lower stomach. My armpits are bad, too.

    I wish I wasn't like this.....I'm not sure when this all got crazy......but all I know is that i'm going to get help soon when the clinic calls us for my first meeting and get my life back to normal and my body looking better and feeling better.

    Weight train! It makes you gain muscle rather than fat, and that'll make you look much better and healthier.

    I have been in the past but don't have the strength or energy for it anymore but i try anyways. I do lighter weights since my strength has gone down and body weight. I do what I can right now without hurting myself even more.
  • Don't worry, the body preferentially lays down fat around the mid-section to insulate vital organs. It does redistribute in time with a consistent intake - it can take up to a year but I found that for me it only took about 4 months.

    That makes sense. It might take up to a year for me since I need to rebuild quite a bit of muscle. I really hope I can eat normally very soon so I don't damage my metabolism more by counting calories again.. :(

    The less muscle you have, the easier it is to gain more, so if you just stick with exercises that are as hard as you can manage at the moment, you're probably going to gain a fair bit of muscle and strength if you keep at it! :)
