So I really have very little idea about what foods are good for you, I know the basics like takeaways bad, vegetables good but I always seem to be missing nutrients in my meals and I seem to eat too many carbs. Has anyone got some advice or some ideas for easy, low calorie, healthy meals?

Smaller portions of carb foods? And get wholemeal bread/pasta/etc. Carbs aren't 'bad', but some are better than others. Include proteins like beans, eggs, nuts, for example. You could make soups with lots of vegetables, salads, vegetable stir fry,0

start with a portion of protein, a portion of carbs and 2 portions of veg.... pretty much any meal fits...
try pre-logging so you can see what fits in your daily calories.0
