Woke up this morning and notice that the bottom of my feet are feelings weird, like itchy. Like literally, the bottom of my feet! How the fluck does that happen? So brush it off as dry I need a pedicure skin.

Get to work, have my coffee and a peach (I have eaten like 80 pounds of peaches in the past 3 days:laugh: ) and then my arms start to itch. Again, wtf? Then all hell breaks loose - hives all over my body. Literally, every part of my body has hives covering it except for my face (knock on wood).

I'm miserable. Freakin' out. Itching. Ready to grab a knife and skin myself. I manage to get in the car, start driving to doctor while itching (my ankles itch so bad so this was a hard task). The drive is 45 minutes. I finally get to the exit AND A COP PULLS ME OVER! *******!!!!! :explode: I'm like "I'm having an allergic reaction and i'm on my way to the doctor down the street". He says "Can I see your license and insurance" *itch* *itch* *scratch* *scratch*. :indifferent: At this point I feel like i'm about to seriously lose my **** mind from the itching. He comes back, hands me the ticket and says "do you need an ambulance" um NO *kitten* I NEED TO GET TO MY DOCTOR FOR A SHOT! Thanks for taking your time you freakin' JERK.

Get to the doctor, the nurse sees me, feels bad for me, takes me in and calls the doctor right away who immediately gives me a shot IN MY *kitten* and checks to make sure my throat isn't closing.

So let's see...

Hives, Speeding ticket, Shot in my *kitten*.

How was your morning?

If it ever happens again, contiune driving to the doctors. Once there tell him to follow you inside, you have an emergency and your throat could be cutting off, and that is more important then waiting for him and a ticket. Most likely once they see you are going to a medical facility they will understand why you were speeding.
Also about the ticket now...I would almost go to court on that to not have to pay it. You have prove that you went to the doctor and that the doctor was scared your throat might be closing so use that to your advantage. It could have been life or death, the cop shouldn't have given you a ticket but an escort to the doctors. How rude! Anyway just saying, I wouldn't pay it but fight it in court.
Go home and relax, hope you day gets better! Treat yourself to a pedicure after you heal, you deserve it!

That sucks! I'd get a doctor's report and go to traffic court and contest the ticket.

The doc gave me the shot around 9am - and I started to feel better immediately, but now the itching is starting up again. OMG SOMEONE SHOOT ME. This is the worst thing I have ever experienced.

If you go to court to fight the ticket I would take some sort of proof that you went to the doc that day. Even if you have to call your dr to get a note. Hope you feel better.

oh dear  You have really had an awful morning!

Firstly, get better soon....do you have any specific allergies? You need to rule out what is causing it if not!

    Secondly, Definately contest the ticket!

Thirdly, try and relax and have a quiet evening :flowerforyou:

I had a bad reaction like that from a peach last summer. I wasn't allergic to the peach but the pollen on it. Make sure your washing your fruit really well!!! Good luck with everything!

Allergic reaction to all the peaches you've eaten maybe?

Sucks you got a ticket and I agree you should get a copy of the invoice from your visit to the dr and contest the ticket in court; that cop could've seriously endangered your life! Glad to know everything worked out and you're feeling better, but holy crap did you get the worst cop in town!

I'm thinking it may be the peaches too.

After reading about your morning, all I can say is if someone ever tells you to have a "peachy":noway: day, you are within your rights to clobber 'em!!!!!

Seriously, I would follow the advice posted above and contest the ticket. Anaphylactic shock is no laughing matter, and any judge with half a brain would throw the citation out if you properly document what happened.

BTW, if you find it is peaches, rather than pollen, try nectarines as a subtitute. The flavor is very similar.

    Hey lina1131,

When you find out what happened with your ticket, how about posting the outcome on this thread. It would be interesting to see how things turn out. Also, was it the peaches or the pollen? Hope all is well with you.

You know, I folded the ticket and put it in my car visor and haven't looked at it since. I probably should take a look at that sucker soon.

And, the doctor has no idea what it is. I still break out, but now only after I workout. Isn't that crazy?

As fara as the medical, I can't offer any insight, but as far as the ticket, you better dust it off and look at it. In many jurisdictions you only have a few weeks to respond, and if you don't they can issue a warrant for your arrest for "failure to appear" or "failure to respond"--depending on the law in your state. There are often limitations on how much time you have to contest it. I say it is worth contesting, so don't throw your chance away but not dealing with it. Good luck:flowerforyou:

I get hives too (my allergens are bell peppers and eggplant)--big as baseballs and they last a week. It sucks mightily. But I wanted to say that hives get worse when you are hot, which probably explains the flareup after you work out. Sorry your morning was so lame--hope it got better.
