what does your grocery list look like?

Hey everyone.

Just wondering what your grocery list looks like...i'll start.

My husband has a gluten allergy and we both are allergic to milk. Also, I am allergic to Vegetable Oils.

We do a monthly meat bundle for $100/month and so weekly we only have to pick up:

Peanut Oil
Eggs
Apples
Bananas
Mangoes
Pineapple
Grapes
Kiwi
Strawberries
Tomato
Onion
Sweet Potatoes
Cucumbers
Avocados
Peppers
Jalaps
Okra
Spaghetti Squash
Pasta Sauce
Lettuce
Salsa
Corn Tortillas (as tacos and as homemade chips)
Beef Jerkey
Tuna
Black Beans
Refried Beans
Brown Rice
Rice Cakes
Peanut Butter--and a lot of it
Almonds
Cashews
Gluten Free Nature Valley Bars
Popcorn
Graham Crackers for dessert--yes!

How about you guys? Do you purchase the same every week?

Between my wife and I, it varies week to week. For the shelf stable things (i.e., PB, beans, rice, etc.) and meats (which we seal and freeze), we only buy these about once a month and buy in bulk. For fruit's, veggies, and other perishables, we get those weekly but they change weekly depending upon what's on sale or at the farmers market. We find this makes us be more resourceful with our food choices and allows us to try new things and research new recipes to try.

Between my boyfriend and I, we spend about $50-70 a week. Hes the only one that eats meat, so the cost of meat normally depends on what he wants for the week. I usually buy and abundance of fruit and vegetables!

We do stock up on a few bulk items for snacks, baking, and so on. I'll just list off the things I pick up usually once a week. :)

    Apples
    Bananas
    Grapes
    Clementines or Oranges
    Lettuce or Spinach
    Tomatoes
    Onions
    Red or Green Bell Peppers
    Tofu
    Chicken or Beef
    Almond Milk
    Eggs
    Greek Yogurt
    Black Beans
    Wheat Tortillas
Bread (If we don't make some that week)
    Peanut Butter
    Almonds
    Salsa
    Sunflower Seeds

    That's pretty much it. :)

    good question... in a week it would be something like;

    soymilk
    full cream milk
    plain yoghurt
    edamame
    chicken breast
    lean beef (maybe)
    salmon for cooking
    salmon sashimi
    some other fish
    tinned tuna
    tofu
    spinach
    salad greens
    mini tomatoes
    cucumber
    sweet potato
    lemon
    onions
    garlic
    mushrooms
    carrots
... just lots of veggies, depends on season
    grapefruit
    apples
    bananas
    kiwi fruit (maybe)
    blueberries
    strawberries (maybe)
    avocado

I think that is about it... I order protein power and rice (brown/red/black), quinoa from online as well as have a stockpile of dried beans, walnuts, almonds, pistacios, pumpkin seeds, sesame seeds, sunflower seeds and a range of Japanese sauces and pickled things :)

We spend about $100 a week. I am vegetarian, my hubby isn't, so we have a weird list sometimes. Our typical grocery list looks something like this:

    Chicken Breast
Sliced turkey (good stuff from the local butcher shop)
    Tofurky
    Garden burgers
    Eggs (a LOT of them)
    Whey Protein Powder
    Bread
Cheese (usually swiss for me and provolone for hubby)
    Almond milk
    Skim milk
    Lettuce
    Carrots
    Celery
    Tomatoes
    Sweet Potatoes
    Cucumber
    Greek Yogurt
    Bananas
    Apples
Fruit - depends on prices and what's in season
    Propel - for the hubs
    Frozen fruit for smoothies
    Almonds
    String Cheese

My grocery list is always strange b/c my husband and I eat very different foods. He's 39 years old, and I doubt he's going to change his ways, so we just make do. I do not cook him a special meal at dinner, so he gets what I make, but for the nights we won't be able to have dinner together (meetings or whatever) he eats his garbage. But here is the general lists:

    Me:
LOTS of fruits - I love all kinds
    Bananas (always)
    Lettuce/spinach
    carrotts
    mushrooms
    tomatoes
    green pepper (or other color)
    cucumber or zucchini
    Greek yogurt
Oatmeal - if we are out
And if we are out - chicken/haddock/shrimp

    Him:
    spaghettios
    Mac N Cheese
    English muffins
    Cereal
    Skim Milk
    Diet soda
    Soft Pretzels
    Low fat ice cream
    French fries

That's pretty much our mixed up list!
