New Personal Best for Deadlifts :)

Just could jump out of my skin with joy! I hit a new personal best with my deadlifts this morning!

Two weeks ago, I could do 3 x 8 with 95lbs
This morning 95lbs felt a little "light"...so I upped it and managed to knock out 3 x 5 @ 135lbs :bigsmile:

Hoping in another two weeks to do 185lbs

Here's to progress!! :drinker:

    *stands up and applauds!!!*

    just deadlifted for the first time yesterday. one 25# weight on each side of the 40# bar...so 90# for me! yay you! 135 is rockin!

    I did a one rep max deadlift in July 2012 and topped out at 230, two weeks ago I did another one rep max deadlift and got up to 265! :)

    Needless to say I was excited!

    @scm2489, that is AWESOME!!!! I plan on being able to DL at least 200 by the end of the year. :smile:

    @silvergurl *applauds you!* DL's is where it's at!! I felt it in my entire body, even the bottoms of my feet are feeling "sore" lol

    A typical bar is 45 pounds. You may have done 95 pounds.

    I just did 205 lbs. on Thursday. 1 set, 5 reps.

    I did 3 x 10 at 135 and some large beefy man at the gym told me that it was the most he had every deadlifted :-D
