Starting again

Feeling in need of a little motivation and support. I started MFP in September last year and by Christmas had lost 19lbs. Then I needed major surgery and its taken me ages to get back on my feet, both metaphorically and physically. Lack of exercise combined with boredom/comfort eating means I've put 8 lbs back on. However, woke up this morning and just felt the time was right to get started again. Although my operation was unexpected, I was SO pleased that I'd lost at least some weight beforehand, and I was really starting to notice the difference. Any words of encouragement to get me focused again greatly appreciated - I have about 42 lbs to loose.

You can do this! You have recent history of knowing you can put your mind and body to work to reach a goal you want. It is spring and going outdoors is much more fun when things are warmer and starting to grow. Start doing something FUN and that will help take your mind off of recent events. Being active is going to help you feel better, look better and ultimately be healthier. I say that to you, probably now because I need to hear this also! Let's do this together! Feel free to add me as a friend and I will work to support you and enjoy receiving your support as well. Thanks! Smiles

I am also starting back up. I sync'd my phone with Runtastic so hopefully my calories and routes will automatically be in MFP. I'm mostly doing this to get fit again more than lose weight.... I haven't worked out with weights for over a year, what a slacker!

Setbacks are only temporary. That's why they're called that and not something that sounds more final. Keep working and you'll get there!
  • I'm starting this journey again after several YEARS! So i know how you feel! The main thing is that you're back! Hang in there! You can do it!!!!
