Tried and true? Doesn't all food consumed give you energy? Isn't that what calories are?

The only thing I can think of that might give you a "rush" would be energy drinks and caffeine.

    apple slices w/ peanut butter

banana & peanut butter (lol - anything w/ peanut butter)

I got this one from Dr. Oz - love it.
1/2 cup dry oats, 2 tsp honey, 1 tsp of PEANUT butter, roll into balls and put in fride for one hour

Ps - sometimes I sub almond butter but the cals are about the same

    dark chocolate espresso beans

    granola bars .....
    trail mix

(I have to have a lil sugar each day but I stay on top of it. #1 problem is sugar makes you crave more sugar so try to stick to the more natural forms, (fruit), or sugar balanced with fat & protein.

That's it for me, although I'm sure someone will rip me apart for not saying spinach w/ craisins. (Which oh btw, love, love!!!!)
    Love almonds too :p

also fresh strawberries, or strawberries & greek yogurt.
    I have a recipe but it's a "special treat"
    1 tbsp FF cream cheese,
2 tbsp of FF/reduced sugar whip cream, 2 tsp vanilla greek yogurtsoften and mash together,
dice some strawberries and throw it in there. Taste like strawberry cheesecake.

You probably weren't looking for snacks though.
    Real Food:
sweet potatoes, brown rice w/ pineapple salsa and diced chicken, anything you can throw a few nuts & seeds in ....
    oatmeal
