CARBS

Carbs are my weakness. I know I need to have them to use as energy when I am working out. But I need to stop making my daily intake consist of a sandwich for lunch and dinner. I think that is what is preventing me from getting my little bit of tummy flab left to flatten. Its the hardest part, that little section. Thoughts? Should I post a picture of my current physique?

I eat carbs all I want and haven't had trouble losing weight.0 -
You can try using whole grain bread for the sandwich if you arent already and don't want to give up the bread. Another option is to wrap that sandwhich in big piece of lettuce. Maybe try training your abs like you would chest and back.0

Yeah I used whole grain bread...the lettuce idea does not sound bad at all. Ive just heard too many times that you cant spot reduce that I lost faith in trying to get the pack by doing certain ab workouts. I think I should add more to my routine though...thanks for your advice!0 -
Carbs do not give you body fat in your stomach..excess fat in your stomach area does...
you cannot spot reduce fat, so eating less carbs is not going to make your "belly fat" go away.
Eating in a deficit, and working out with compound lifts will make your abs show ..it just takes time...
Belly fat is usually last to go ...that is my experience...
what is your work out regimen like....?0 -
i eat about 25% carbs a day and am 13% body fat....so you can eat carbs and get your body fat down...0

Carbs are fine, just choose the right kinds of carbs. Whole grains, beans or lentils, fresh fruit. Basically just try & stick to the non-processed stuff.
My carb ratio is about 40-45% & I'm perfectly happy with that.0 -

I need to implement more compound exercises into my routine. I do too many things that focus on one muscle/group that I'm going to stop seeing results if I dont incorporate more. I need to become more consistent with my leg workouts, giving it an equal mix with upper body. I would burn so much more doing legs since they are the biggest muscle group...thank you for your advice.0 -

The bread I used is called Arnolds Whole Wheat with fiber and its 40 cals per piece! I just didnt know if eating too much of it is bad or not0 -

There are clearly a lot of actually effective things you can do. Reducing carb intake for no apparent reason is not one of them.
Eat enough protein, eat enough fat, get the rest as carbs. Work your muscles with compound lifts. Eat an appropriate amount of calories. That's really it. Don't overcomplicate things.0 -
I have that problem too, its so hard! and the only place i have left to loose is right under the belly button! just try to stay under your carb count every day by planning out all your meals the day before. if you see that what you planned goes over your carb count then switch one of the bread/pasta/rice items for fish/meat/vegetable/fruit (maybe not a banana though). we can do this0

Unless weight loss is completely impossible unless I cut my carbs, I'm not cutting carbs. Shoutout to carbs. I love you carbs.0
