i went to muffin break today with my mum, and we grabbed a bite to eat and a coffee. I have incorporated coffeeeee into my diet, always making sure i can fit it in without going over my goals, however i thought i would eat one of there vegetarian quiches, sounds healthy enough? was expecting around 200-300 calories, guess what it had 627 calories, and it contained 44 grams of fat, fml!

Its early, nothing you can't recover from. Just eat light and lean the rest of the day.0

oh my.....i know that would upset me....you have to be careful in places you think are healthy because i'm learning that alot of them arent as healthy as they seem...theres a place here that i love to eat at, they serve majority healhty foods, so i ordered a grilled chicken club expecting to be about 400 maybe 500 calories, it was 700 some odd calories.....0

Doesn't quiche usually always contain some type of cheese or custard type filling? That can never be good. Sorry you got fooled0

arrggh, well you know todays done, went over my calorie intake, but was way under yesterday, so i dunno i can be content in that reasoning
tomorrow im def going to stay way under my calorie intake0 -
ya... quiche is made of egg, cheese, cream and pastry... not so healthy. But hey, once in awhile won't hurt. Throw in an extra run today and you'll be good as new.0

quiche is just custard with more egg and less heavy cream. And usually they add all kinds of fatty things to it. Plus pie crust is nothing but lard and flour.
I never understood where it got a reputation for being healthy. It is far from it.0 -
While that is ridiculous (44g of fat is more than I get per day!), it doesn't really surprise me. Quiche is made with eggs, cheese, and cream. I've made one before, and trust me, you don't even want to KNOW how much of those things go in there! And that's not even to mention what they use to make the crust! (Probably eggs, butter, etc.)0
