Hello!! I just finished day 16 of Insanity. I have read several posts and many indicate that minimal weight has been lost, and generally the bigger change is in inches and body shape. I'm seeing the scale slowly creep up not seeing/feeling any change in shape. My clothes are not fitting any different. I am waiting until day 30 to have my measurements and BF retested - I always have the same gal do it for consistency reasons. Would anyone be willing to take a look through my food diary to see if anything is standing out? I used the Harris-Benedict equation in the nutrition guide and allowed for the upper end of activity since I also run long distances and teach spinning. Since the calories are already adjusted for the higher activity level, I only enter 1 calorie burned in MFP for all my activities. So, any suggestions? Do I just keep trucking on as is?

    16 days isn't long for a start.

I took pics on day 0 and day 22 and there was a big difference in the pics but only 1lb on the scale. Don't get discouraged yet.

Well, for one thing, you're not starting at like 215lbs like some people that lose 30lbs or whatever on the program. Plus, it looks like you're already in pretty decent shape. I'm not sure what your goals are with Insanity, but you're not going to have dramatic results and you certainly won't have them after 16 days.

Advice -- stay within your calorie range (whatever it is, I'm *sure* it's fine but just be consistent) and chill. You WILL see results but for those of us that are pretty lean, the changes are small.
  • Like the earlier posts said you probably won't see the drastic change that the people on the infomercial had because you're already in very good shape and very lean. The only thing I can think to suggest for you is to perhaps cut back on running and spin classes so you can really gun it during your Insanity workouts. Squat low, jump high, and grunt out those pushups.
  • Looks like you eat pretty good from the couple of days worth I looked at. The only change I would really suggest would be a higher protein intake. What is your goal for the 60 days?

Day 16 is not nearly enough time to make any significant changes to your body mass or even fitness levele. I did Insanity for three months before my physique changed. It's worth the wait.
