how to log yoga?

hey everyone,
quick question, how do you log thngs such as yoga? i haven't been able to find it in the database. I just end up looking it up on the web and adding inputting those calories into cardio

It is indeed there under cardio! Not sure how accurate it is, but it'll give you a ballpark at least.

I log mine under the cardio option too. I have always thought about wearing my HRM to see. I think the MFP estimate is close for the beginner class I go to, but it is way off for the speed of the flow yoga class.

I agree Brad, I do Bikram and I am sure I am burning more than 250-ish calories in an hour, however the use of HRMs is discouraged at my studio.... some people had been wearing them and they were beeping and blinking and causing a distraction!

Depending on the yoga, I would say gentle ( anything other than hot) will be give or take 300 calories burned. For hot yog I generally use the rule of 400 cals for 60-75min class. If your goal is weight loss, low ball calories burned.
