Raisin Bran

Do you guys know if raisin bran is a good choice of breakfast? I was thinking that tomorrow before work I would have Raisin Bran and a slice of cantaloupe but I've that all the kiddy cereals are bad for you and some others but Raisin Bran is wheat, and I think it tastes decent. But it has 18g of sugar, is that bad? Should I go ahead and have it for breakfast or just find something better?

Fiber One Raisin Bran Clusters cereal is like raisin bran but better for you.
I love that cereal.... very filling too!0 -
Raisin Bran is a great choice - in moderation, watch the portion size! The high sugar comes from the raisins, but natural sugar from fruits is obviously a better choice than processed. Use skim milk and enjoy!!0

I eat it nearly every day for breakfast. I weigh both cereal and the milk because I notice I get "more" if I do this each morning. YUM! It totally fills my tummy and is a healthy change from just toast. I get sick of that!

The only big downside to Kellogs raisin bran is the sugar in it. Some of it is from the rasins, but they add sugar too, and that's bad. If you can get away with fiber one, it's got about 25% less sugar, so that's probably a better option for you. They do have lots of carbs, but they are complex so that's a fine choice for breakfast, I wouldn't suggest it for dinner, but for breakfast that's fine.0
