too much of a good thing??

I've been noticing that I am over my limit on sugar almost everyday, but it is mainly because of fruit. I have avoided cakes and candy and I don't drink soda so I thought I was doing well. Everyone says that eating fruit is good and healthy but I just want to make sure that the benefits of eating it outweigh the damage of consuming too much sugar.

I hope that made sense. It's just confusing when you feel like you are making good choices and the numbers tell you otherwise...any help or advice would be GREATLY appreciated.

I posted a response to this topic here that I feel is fairly detailed:

In sum, the calories from fruit count when losing weight, but the sugars from natural sources do come with enough benefits that it is not similar to eating processed sugars. MFP's sugar limits come from the AHA's recommended limits on *added* sugars. You are losing weight; don't worry about it. :)
