What is a good sugar "goal"? I go over on my sugars every day...even when I eat the healthiest. I'm not a HUGE sugar addict but I don't like bland, tasteless food either. Do I need to worry about this number as much if my calories and carbs are in line? I get so confused with all these numbers. HELP!

Unless you have a medical reason to do so there's no need to watch your sugar.
Just monitor your overall carb and calorie intake.0 -

I go over my sugars too, but mostly from healthy foods..... so I'm not too worried about it.
Especially since I am now eating way healthier and smaller portions than I did before I joined MFP.
I started out with only 1200 cals/day and it was awful. Then I read about the thread regarding TDEE so I upped my calories.
I feel much better now and I know I will probably lose the weight more slowly, but 20 pounds is my goal, and I am told that it will generally take longer to lose.0 -
I would aim for the following. An overall carbohydrate goal that allows you to have at least 1g protein / lb LBM, at least .33g fat/lb and stay under your calorie goal.0

Yep this and I do have a medical condition (Type 2 Diabetic) and have never tracked a single gram of sugar... I watch my caloric intake and my 3 main macro's (Carbs, Proteins, and Fats)0
