Can recommend a good heart rate monitor that isn't too costly? I want to start using that for my Cto5k workouts.

You get what you pay for.
I use this one, http://www.walmart.com/ip/S7-HR-Monitor/10719753, which is inexpensive but does what I need. Here is a more complete list http://www.walmart.com/search/search-ng.do?search_query=heart+rate+monitors&search_constraint=4125&tc=0&ic=48_0&ref=+125872.125877&tab_value=49_All, ranging from $23 to $370.0 -
I just got the Finish Line Sports Watch at Academy and love it!0

I got a Polar F6 from overstock.com and have had for almost two years. I love it and it comes in pink and black. If you have a discover card you get like 10 percent back or something on overstock. I would shop around at different sites for the best deals.0
