Fluidity Exercise Bar? Anyone try it?

Thinking about getting a Fluidity bar. Read a bunch of reviews and other than one person who got hers off craigslist and was complaining about the smell, they all seem to really like it. Anyway was just wondering if anyone here has tried or knows someone who's tried it and what the experience was?

I have the barre. If you're unsure about the price range, try a Bar Method, Xtend, Barre3 or other barre exercises. These are all dvds that you can use a high back chair for the exercises. I tried the old Bar Methods before I invested in a fluidity barre. Even the beginner's version can be hard. I have to shake it out a few times. But as long as you keep going, it will work. On another forum I am on for fitness dvds, a lot of the girls there are obsessed with barre. One woman did barre work for a whole year and lost all her weight. Of course the key is will you use it once you get it? I did a Physique57 for 2 weeks straight and it seriously helped with my pushups. Mainly because they keep saying in the videos: if you can't go far, go as far as you can go and you will be able to get more movement. I prefer videos other than the fluidity dvds mainly cause the music is boring. The bar though is great. I had one issue a few months ago but my husband fixed it for me.0

I love my Fluidity Bar. When I'm using it I feel great all over! I just need to force myself to use it consistently enough to really improve my flexibility. Personal issue though0

Using that $500 chair rail gave me the long and lean muscles of the dancers in my head. There is no other way I could have done 300 leg lifts a day without spending that $500.

Yeah. You could probably build one cheaper...by at least half. It's just a bar. Some gyms may also have this. Or you could look into taking dance lessons and using the bar there.0 -
So with those dvds, you would use a high back chair, but what about exercises where you put all your weight on the bar. Wouldn't the chair fall over?
As for price, I would get one from amazon however they dont offer a payment plan like the fluidity site does and I dont have 300$ right now lol. Talked to the fluidity customer service, they said they would lower the monthly payments down from 60$/mth for 7 mths to 30$/mth for 14 mths then my mom and I (since we live in the same house) are going to split it. So it would only be 15$ per month and thats cheaper than any gym around here.
Thats my thought process anyway ^.^0 -
I've been going to one of the Bar Method studios near my home in Dallas for over a month and LOVE it! I am the biggest woman (was a size 20) in every one of those classes, but I'm getting better at the workout and I've lost a little over 15 pounds (size 18 now!).
I tried one of the Bar Method DVD's at home with a chair & nearly busted my butt falling over. So I'm thinking having the bar at home might be a worthwhile investment.
But I'm with you guys, over $400 is a bit steep for me. So I've been trolling CraigsList.com searching for Fluidity.
I've seen several of the Fluidity Bar's go on sale from $100 up to $200.
Thus far, I have not yet been fast enough to snatch one of these up in my local area.
I just thought I would pass along the idea & encourage everyone.0 -
I am a big fan of the barre methods available.. I think ithis piece of equipmentis appears to be good foreople who want to supplement the live barre classes that are pretty pricey.. Other barre on lone classes tout using any counter top. Back of chairs .
I think it is also a great alternative to installing a ballet barre in your home.0
