Doing recomp and gall bladder issues

I'm pretty much at my goal weight and now I want to do a recomp to gain muscle and loose some body fat. I had been trying to increase my healthy fats and proteins, until a gall bladder attack. I'm still waiting on test results to be sure, but I have some suggested diet changes. Those changes include limiting fats (especially dairy fats and egg), lowering my protein intake (especially read meat). I don't want to drastically increase my carb intake, it makes me incredibly hungry all the time.

Any suggestions for a p/c/f ratio good for gall bladder issues? Any gall bladder resources you can recommend?

    I had an attack a few months ago ( they think). I was put on a high carb, no fat diet until my liver values went back to normal. It sucked, except I got to go nuts eating stuff I cut out of my diet because I would binge on it. Since everything went back to normal, I have been working to get back under control, and have been struggling a bit, but I haven't really gained weight, and it's been 2 months. I have not had any issues since the initial one, and all I was told by the specialist was to wait and see if it happens again, and have it removed if I do, but I could continue my high-ish fat, low carb, high protein diet in the meantime. To answer the other question, I tend to eat 1g protein per pound of lean body mass, 100 g Carb, and fill in the rest with fats.

    Thanks divemunkey! Have you had any other attacks sense then? I notice pain after eating certain foods, so I'm definitely going to cut those out. I'm interested in going back to a more normal diet, but hesitant to go through that pain again.

    i've had infrequent attacks for the last 7 years. by infrequent i mean less than once a month, and having looked at the various dietary changes recommended, none of them seem to trigger anything. the only thing that i can see a link to is totm! i'm not sure why that is, but ive seen other women making the same link.
    honestly, i'd say to test things. eat eggs, see if anything happens. eat sour cream/full fat dairy (one that is more likely to trigger mine) etc, just not in the same meal. it really is about learning what different things do to you. i usually know within 15 mins if i've got it wrong when my temperature starts to spike.

    No, nothing since that first one, if indeed it was even a gallbladder attack. I would cut out anything that you feel like makes you feel symptomatic, obviously, but otherwise eat to your goals. Even if you end up having it removed, you should be able to eat whatever you want. If the gastroenterologist says I can eat as high fat as I want in that likelihood, who am I to argue? lol I have to admit, I can't eat anything that I ate in the couple days I was the sickest, though. Might be psychological, but the thought of eating brats or gummy bears turns my stomach a bit, as well as the smell of cigarette smoke, but that last is apparently an aversion common to people who develop jaundice. The jaundice cleared up, but the smoke aversion did not. Which sucks because my roommate smokes.
