Dropping cardio?

I used to do some form of cardio every day. Then I started lifting and strength training a about 6 weeks ago and gradually dropped the cardio and just do about 45min- 1 hour lifting every other day with the odd walk or Zumba class here and there. My heart rate stays pretty high when I am doing strength training. Is there any reason to do cardio every day if I have already reached my goal weight? Thanks!

Keep it if it's something you really enjoy. Or if an endurance event is part of your near term goals. If not, no harm in dropping it.0

My mom runs four times a week and she's overweight. She also eats too much.
I do no cardio and lift every day. I'm underweight. I also eat at a calorie deficit.
Cardio is just one method of creating a calorie deficit. It's not essential to weight loss.0 -

Yeah but I don't need to lose any more weight nor am I running a marathon. So just wondering for general health purposes if 3-4 times a week strength training was enough.0 -

Thank you! I was enjoying it but now not so much. I love lifting so much more I can't even fathom jumping on a treadmill for an hour anymore!0
