JUMP ROPE success stories?

For a long time I have always incorporated jump rope into my fitness week maybe 2-3 times for 30mins. How every I have just set myself a little challenge to jump rope 5x week for 30mins for the next month. I also do body weight training every 2nd day. I would love to know if anyone else has used jump rope as there main form of exercise? and if your've had success. Pictures would be great.

No concrete success story but I love jump rope! It's some of my fave cardio. It has helped me with developing stronger legs
  • I love jumping rope too. But I can't jump for 30 mins continuously. I only can do 300 skips/minute then rest 1 or 2 mins and start over.

Jump rope is my chosen exercise for cardio & conditioning.
Out of the the ten times I workout, eight times I'll do jump rope (others will be the treadmill, stationary bike, or burpees).

    I usually do a 10-1-1.
    10 rounds
    1 min work
    1 min rest

For the last five rounds I'll mix it up with double unders or running in place.
When done correctly, I'll be tripping all over the rope because of exhaustion if I add a few rounds more.

    Give it a try.
    It won't cost you much.

    Edit:

    Great article below.

I like to throw it into some of my workouts, but I can't imagine jumping rope for 30 minutes multiple times per week. Thats a lot of impact on the joints, and has got to lead to some serious DOMS or shin splints.
