Unable to enter recipe

Just spent about a half hour entering a recipe via the nutrition calculator. I clicked yes for "would I like to submit this recipe in the MyFitnessPal recipe database?" only to discover that I it was not accepted because I did not select a subcategory for the cooking method. The pulldown menu is empty so it appears to be impossible to enter the recipe.

Two questions - does this feature work for anyone else? Where is the MFP recipe database? Unable to find it. Only recipes that people have typed into posts.

Update: I was able to save the recipe without instructions by choosing "no" for "would I like to submit this recipe in the MyFitnessPal recipe database?" At least when make the recipe I'll have the nutritional info and can enter it in my food diary
