Alright I have been lurking about for a few days and thought it was about time I took a tiny step out of the shadows to say 'Hi!'.
I am 23 yrs old and got married 2 yrs ago next month. However, when I got married I was above my ideal weight and I have gained something like 40 lbs since then. I am hoping that having a little bit of accountability to someone other than my DH will help me stay motivated. I have already lost about 2 lbs just from switching to eating about 12~1300 net and hoping I can keep this up.
I have tried to do p90x in the past and have never been able to keep myself going past about the 10 day mark, I love the exercises (well love/hate them) but I just reach a certain point where I just can't motivate myself to get started.
I have also been trying to walk around a nearby lake and work myself up to jogging it. Heavy snow last winter and a fair amount of rain this spring means the path is flooded at times so it isn't always the most pleasant place to walk (wet/smelly/mosquito infested) so its hard to want to go walk the trails.
Other than that my only general issues that keep me from physically exercising is that I don't think my shins are quite ready for high impact workouts.
Trying to have this be my new day 1. Hope I can keep it up because I would love to see myself healthier and stronger.
Starting Weight: 187
Current Weight: 184.2
First Goal: 175 (to get me out of the obese BMI)
Second Goal: 145 (to get me out of overweight)
Target Weight: 120-130
