I am new to this, my brother lost 30 lbs and he was my inspiration!!! I was wondering, you are allowed more calories to eat when you exercise, however what if you are full and can not eat the extras is that ok????
Also any advice for when you plateau, I had lost 5 lbs before I started this however I understand that was water weight (which you loose first) now I work out 3 times a week (cadio mostly) and the scale has not moved in a week. Yes it could be that I am gaining muscle in places I did not before and that weighs more than fat. I would love to see the numbers go down again!!!
Thanks,

the exercise calories are usually a hottly debated topic around here but for me i use them if i need them and dont if i dont but its all personal preferance in all reality.
as for plateau i found when i hit one if i did something different either changed up my work out or changed out a few foods if i noticed i was eating the same thing every day it helped alot. for the work outs i didnt do alot of things my main work out was just jogging for a mile or two every day and if i hit a plateau i would throw in some sit ups and push ups or do zumba or wii fit or something like that.
i hope i helped a little and i know there are lots of other people on here that are more versed in this than me that will help0 -
Hi all! I'm new here, found this website in an article for breastfeeding moms wanting to get in shape. I had a baby 3 1/2 months ago and I'm eager to get back in shape and lose about 30lbs!
It's tricky business breastfeeding and working out, so anyone that has experience with this I would love any advice or tips!!
Thanks,

Thanks for the info I did read that if you change up your work out and the foods you eat then you will see a difference on the scale. Also I think I am the last person on earth who owns a needle scale and not digital which I must go out and buy ASAP since they are the most accurate. The W W ones are suppose to be the best as they show the correct weight and BMI.
I know that once you excerise you are hungry afterwards since the body needs more fuel to jump start the metabolism however sometimes I just don't want to eat the extras so I just choose better options at night like 100 calorie mini bags of popcorn with a handful of almonds...0 -

Yep born and bred a Mets fan, Carter (let him rest in peace) is my all time favorite.....1986 will come back again, maybe not this year with the way they are performing, but just got to have faith....
I realize that the weight did not go back on over night, so it cannot come off the same way just needs patience and persistence...0
