What am I doing wrong?

Hi. This is the first time I have posted at all on MFP. I have been tracking consistently for about two weeks now and all I keep doing is fluctuating between 167 and 165.

A little background: I am 5'10'' and know that my weight is in the "healthy" range for my height but I am much more confortable at 150 and just gained some weight my last year of college and my first year of marriage. I exercise a minimum of 50 minutes a day and I do 40 minutes of cardio plus weights on my strength training days. I have been eating my exercise calories because I don't know how healthy it would be for me to eat only 1200 calories plus the near hour I exercise 6 days a week.

My hunch is that the problem is sugar. I am always WAY over my sugar limit for the day because I have a pretty big sweet tooth. But I figured if I ate within my calorie range that it was alright.

Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks!

You need to make your food diary public so people can see what you are eating.

Honestly, you should be eating a lot more. At 5'10 and 165 pounds with only 15 left to lose, I would suggest 1500-1600 PLUS exercise calories (or at least the majority of them).
The last 10-20 pounds are ALWAYS the hardest, especially when you're already in the healthy range.

    Good luck!

P.S. I'm no doctor, just someone who's been doing this for awhile, lol.

Try cutting sugar - atleast added sugar for a week and see if it is that.

Eat your bigger meals for breakfast and lunch - a very light dinner

    Drink all your water!

I don't eat all my exercise calories - but do eat some. Try eating half of them.

    Good luck!

OK. I made my food diary public.

I should say that I went a bit overboard on the sugar today and I didn't record everything for one day this past weekend. Additionally, I don't record water but I get at least 8 cups a day.

Thanks for the advice thus far.

Does anyone else have any suggestions?

Try to switch up what you're doing. Change your workout routine and have a higher calorie day to "confuse" your body and get things going again.
