Hi everyone i really need some help
It started when i began a weight loss programme called secret diet drops. They worked amazingly well, i lost 21 lbs and felt fab. However when i finished them at 9st 9lbs i went crazy and gained back a load of weight and ive shot up to 10st 8lbs. My stomach has exploded outwards again. The issue was this was a VLCD at only 500 calories a day.
Ive become so obsessed with my weight, my appearance, my food everything. I feel depressed, i cry all the time and i don't know what to do. My holiday is only 27 days away and im feeling like a failure.
I looked amazing, everyone was so proud of me and i was proud of myself which was the best feeling in the world after battling with my weight for so long. I could go shopping and pickup whatever i wanted, amazing.
However now ive pilled my stomach back on its left me feeling worthless. Im constantly crying and then starving myself and then binging out of control. I feel like ive lost all control of my eating. I need to lose this stomach in 24 days and i need some help to get my mind back on the right focus. What upsets me the most is how proud everyone was and now i feel like ive let myself and everyone else down.
Please dont tell me i was stupid for doing it, i know that now.
can anyone help me?xx

Think about your body like a rubber band. The farther you stretch it the more force it is going to bounce back with. However if you just stretch it a little bit it will barely move. If you slowly stretch it out it will not bounce back at all.
It is better to take it in steps, establish the foundation than do some radical quick weight loss program.
I am also in the obsessed about body boat, let me know if you want some support and send the old friend request my way.
You are not stupid, you just lack knowledge, but you are here to get help.
Sadly there is only so much you can really do in a month, I would aim for no more than 10 pounds.0 -
Always remember this is a marathon not a sprint. If you aren't committed to a lifestyle of healthy living and eating the yo-yo effect will always haunt you. Just consider this a setback and move forward from here. wnbrice is correct, don't shoot for too much weight loss too fast. What are your expectations from this, your goals? If you are just trying to meet someone else's expectations there can be no lasting success because you didn't do it for yourself. This is 2 steps forward and one step back. Remember that you took the 2 steps forward and can do it again. Feel free to add me also if you would like some additional support!0

thanks guys ive learnt from my mistakes its just this horrible obsession i seem to have gained
ive never been so obsessed in my life its the worst feeling ever!
Im not really aiming for pounds, more inches as i need to get rid of this stomach haha0 -
If you try and use a "quick fix", as soon as you're "done" you'll gain it all back. Instead of "dieting" consider this a lifestyle change. You are moving towards a healthier lifestyle, and its okay if it happens slowly. I have had times in the past year where I felt like giving up because the scale didn't budge, but then I compared photos and it was totally different. Every day you log in is progress.0

First of all, learn to accept yourself just the way you are. You're not going to lose a whole lot of weight in 24 days. You might lose a couple pounds, but it takes a long time to lose weight in a healthy way and keep it off.
Do not wait to do something about your life until you are desperate. Go ahead and start exercising and counting calories, but don't do anything drastic, because that's what gets you in trouble. Learn from your previous mistake and move on.0 -
thankyou everyone
the hard bit is forcing myself to up my calories, i cant seem to get myself to eat over the 500-600 calories ive been allowed for so long for fear of gaining more0 -

I wouldn't try and lose it ALL again in the next 24 days, just do it slowly and correctly. I am sure you will see at least a slight difference in 24 days, but definitely not all of it. But that's okay because ONE DAY you will be the way you want and be able to KEEP it off. Good luck girl0

When you keep your calorie count that low you will continue to lose muscle (and muscle tone) which is the opposite of what you need to start working on your physique. If it helps you to think of it this way, you need to improve nutrition (at 500-600 a day you are becoming malnourished) in order to begin getting your body back into functioning shape and to increase muscle.
Do you have a family doc you can talk with about nutrition? It's a place to start. Also, there are some simple basics you can try - get some protein powder, mix it with milk, juice, almond milk, whatever, add some peanut butter and chocolate powder and blend - and you will have a tasty meal you can drink which may be an easier way for you to start getting calories in. Or do the same with some berries and a bit of avocado.
Let us know if you need links to start reading about good nutrition.0 -

As someone who plateaued for a very long time by eating 900-1200., take my word for it, you're hurting yourself, not helping yourself by eating that. Take measurements. Take a couple picture of yourself in a sports bra or tank top or bikini or something, don't worry about how you look, you don't have to show it to anyone. Increase your calories to 20% below your TDEE (if you don't know what that is calculate it here: http://www.fitnessfrog.com/calculators/tdee-calculator.html ). Don't freak that the scale may be the same or even increase slightly over the next two weeks. Keep eating enough but not over, keep working out. If you find yourself freaking out in 3 weeks because the scale hasn't moved or has gone up take another picture and/or measurements and compare. Even if the scale is up, you'll find you're looking better.
Most of all, stick to it, don't beat yourself up over slip-ups. This is a lifestyle change. If I think I can't have pizza in my "diet" that means I can't ever have pizza again and that makes me want to eat ALL OF THE PIZZAs. If I tell myself I can have 2 slices of pizza and make sure I just adjust the rest of my day or week, that's something I can live with.
Work on your relationship with food; its not a reward or a punishment or something to hate or fear. It's fuel and it can be delicious. Figure out a way you can eat below maintenance that you can live with so that you can stick to it.0 -
I am sorry you are struggling. I have been to. The only thing thats stopped me going way way way overboard with my binge is coming on here every day and reading posts. Looking at success stories and being inspired. I saw one yesterday that got me out today and signed up for the gym. I have also been having a nosey at some diary's that are open to get some healthy meal ideas as this is where I struggle and I have got a good starting place to do it the right way now.
You need to up your calories, you already know that. Its not healthy or good to be eating so low. I was eating the same as you and the same thing happened, (though I hadn't got to my goal I had reached a mini one) and fell off the wagon and landed in a big pile of cake, biscuits and calories. Its only been a week or so for me but tomorrow I am getting back on to getting it right. Want to join me?
There is no quick fix, believe me, I have tried it but have now come to the realisation that I have to take this one step and one day at a time.0 -
I understand your pain and depression over your weight and not able to lose some that you have gained back. Just try not to concentrate on the weight gained and focus of what you are going to lose. Start your mind fresh and think I can lose this weight, it is possible, anything is possible. Focus on what you are eating and the calories, if you know you can't eat it, put it down. Put your energy into physical activity. While watching TV or a movie, stand up and a move, swing your arms around, run in place. I hope this is helpful, It may not be the best advise but oh well, give it a shoot...couldn't hurt.0
