I just wanted to introduce myself. I am a 41 year old mother of 5. I have been struggling with my weight on and off for my entire adult life. I have been losing and gaining the same 20 pounds for about 6 years now and I've had enough. I have been on every single diet out there. I have spent thousands of dollars on, well, you name it, I've tried it. I have two wardrobes. I thought that I was home free three years ago when I reached my goal weight and gave away my fat clothes only to get on a new birth control and gain it back and have to buy new fat clothes. A very dear friend introduced me to this a couple of days ago, and I love it. I am thinking very positively, and after making through my first day, I think this might actually work. We'll see. Anyway, I look forward to getting healthy with all of you.

I have tried every fad out there and spend lots throughout the years also. The only way to get to your goal is to change how you eat, but more importantly, what you eat. This is not a fad diet site, but a tool to change your life if you can be completely honest with yourself.
Only a few years ago my husband and I ate what we wanted to, never reading labels, never thinking about a rounded diet with proper nutrition, eating junk food, drinking . . . in the last 4 years we have made a complete turnaround. Our grocery cart is now only filled with veggies (LOTS of veggies), fruit, complex carbs (mostly grainy breads, oatmeal, quinoa, couscous), lean meats, and some dairy (we only buy light cheese, yogurts, skim milk). Absolutely NO processed food! We now find it amazing what other people's carts are full of!
We both realized that we needed a complete lifestyle change, not just a diet. My husband has managed to ward off type 2 diabetes as he was diagnosed as "pre-diabetic" and his other health concerns have literally faded away with some of his excess weight. I would think it was a miracle but know it was our diligence and hard work.
I am very honest with myself and very true to my new way of life. I am not on a diet, I will eat this way for the rest of my life, just adding in a few more portions to increase my calorie intake once I get to my goal. I've never felt better!
