I know. But in the U.S. "trousers" is used only for a formal style of uh ... bottoms. "Pants" includes, trousers, slacks (I don't think they use that word anymore), jeans, capri pants, etc.0 -

When I lived in Ireland underwear were refered to knickers. Trousers are whats common or pants, sometimes slacks for casual pants.0

I'm 5'4", 177lbs and recently bought a pair of size 10 pants from Gap. Usually though a 12 will do the trick. I wear a large top and my bra size is 36E. At my biggest (195 lbs) I wore a 14 pant and XL top, at that point I was a 36G bra.
I've got a lot of boob.0 -

It's all how you carry your weight. Plus stuff shifts around after kids. I have 3; I was the lightest after I had the first one, but my measurements now are better (to me) than when I was at my lightest. WEIRD!
I'm 5'2", 137.6 and between a size 6/8.0 -

Yes! Shifting sure happened for me after kids! With my first, I was back down to my pre-pregnancy weight about a month or two afterwards thanks to breastfeeding, but I could no longer where my size 6 jeans. I became a size 8. That's why even I if lose the weight and can get my huge gut to be, well, not huge, I still don't think I will get into anything smaller than a 6. My body is different now.0 -
I can't even figure out what size I wear in pants. It depends on the brand and the cut. If I go by waist size, I can't squeeze my hips and thighs into them. I have stretch jeans that are a 6, and nonstretch wide leg slacks that are 0. Even stretchy yoga pants are nightmarish - never long enough in the rise. Skirts are so much easier.0

I am 4'10. When I weighed 185 I was in a size 14/16. I am currently 142 and wearing an 8/10. When I was 130 I was still wearing the 8, but it was looser, or a 7 in juniors. I have always been larger in the bust area, so I can sometimes wear a medium, other times a large on top, depending on style, brand, etc.0
