To burn tummy fat

ok so the biggest part of me really is my belly.. (42inches)

so i was going to do crunches but from what i understand is that i will have muscle there but it will be hidden and i was also told that muscle helps burn fat so... if i do crunches and exercise( cardio).. will it help as like a bonus??

i know its impossible to spot reduce but it sounds like a makes sense to me so i need answers and if it doesnt can you please explain to me why it wouldnt be possible

    No matter how many crunches you do, abs are made in the kitchen.

    You'll strengthen your core/abs by doing the workout but not burn any fats.

    I wish I could spot reduce too but it doesn't work that way!
