I don't think there's ANY way to reach my goal, unless i starved myself and worked out till I died.
I have till June 13 to lose 14 pounds. I uploaded on the forums "Is it possible to lose 14 pounds by June 13 by eating 1300 calories, walking 2 miles and jogging 20 minutes at 4.5 every day?" That was probably just 2 or 3 days ago but I've ate over (Not by much though) and I've done NO exercise. Yes, I'll start today because any weight gone is better than nothing but if I start now, is it still possible?
June 13 has been promised since when I was 6 months pregnant that I'd get back to my old size by then because that's my boyfriends birthday. As I'm typing this my mom came and handed me three mini Peppermint Patties -___- MY FAVORITE. And my dad just bought a dinner tray from Publix Deli with Barbecue Ribs and other things and told me I can have it.. OMG. Anyway, I promised myself, it's only 14 pounds anyway but it looks like A LOT .. But anyway, my daughters almost 6 months old.. so you know how long it's been.
IS IT POSSIBLE?

Probably not if you eat those peppermint patties and that dinner tray. I think before you are going to lose, you need to wrap your mind around the idea. Remember: "Nothing tastes as good as healthy looks. " You have to want it a lot to be able to do it.0

Probably not but you could be 9lb closer if you look at a sensible 1lb a week loss. However, if you don't have much to lose anyway it may be slower. As much as you may have a date in mind it doesn't REALLY matter, what matters is that you get there healthily.
You don't have to eat the things your mum and day have given you, it's ok to say 'no thank you'.0 -
I do not know how much you have gained, but I am a mother of two, and to be honest it take more than 6 months for most women to lost the weight. You have to be patient with yourself and be honest with your self.
Its not going to be easy, but you can lose the weight. I think if you take the focus off of the number on the scale of set date you may get there in a more healthy manner. If you do not reach that goal you should have other goals as well.
You can say no to snacks and ribs, no not easy, but prepare yourself, have healthy meals ready, have veggies and fruits readily available for those moments. drink water and tea. And do not put yourself down , you had a baby and that is a lot on a woman's body.
If you have any questions as to how I lost my weight you can message me. I never lost 14 lbs in a month, but all this weight Ive lost and I am losing has been over a yr to lose.0 -
I think it would be wise of you to reevaluate your goal. Go here: http://scoobysworkshop.com/calorie-calculator/ fill it out. Use the number that shows up next to "Daily calories based on goal in step 6" to set your goals here on MFP. I think forcing yourself to lose all the weight in 6 months after having a baby was pretty unrealistic. It took you 9 months to put it on, and that was when life wasn't as chaotic as it is now, I'm sure. Take it a little easier on yourself. This isn't an emergency.0

It is more than you can do in a healthy way. You have to take control over your health. There is nothing wrong with eating peppermint patties, just eat one. Nothing wrong with eating BBQ ribs, just eat one. Eat at a healthy calorie deficit, exercise some and be patient. I am sure your boyfriend will respect the fact that you are losing weight in a healthy, sustainable way. Keep it up and good luck!
ETA...if you restrict yourself from foods you love while you are losing weight, the is a high likelihood that you will return to unhealthy portions of those foods once you reach your goal, then you gain the weight back. You have to learn how to control the amount of the foods you love so you can sustain your loss.0 -
Nine pounds sounds fair enough. I gave the peppermint patties back. Lol. And thankyou guys .0

No goal is attainable if you do not get up and do something about it.
I do not mean to be *****y.....or maybe I do. Get off the computer, walk away from the tray and go for a walk.
Get started now. Just do it. and stick with it. Then you will get to your goal
Maybe not by the time you planned on, but at least you will have made it.0 -
Ok, you might not lose the full 14 by then but half of it could be do able, sit your parents down and explain what's going on I'm sure they will support you, make the exercise part of life go jogging and take your little girl with you. Dance around the house with her. As for the food 1300 should be ok unless your breast feeding in which case you should be aiming for 1800 at least. Or any nutrients your body takes in will be given to your daughter. Hope this helps0

sure..but not by eating the patties ~favorite or not, or by eating the ribs beacause your dad said you can or by doing no exercise.
If you manage your calories and do some dedicated exercise you have a real shot. A 20 min jog is a start ~but try a 30 minute interval run if your using a treadmill. it will do more for you after your done. Get some weights and lift a bit ~ a few dumbells and some resistance training and your on to something. Give 30day shred a chance (on youtube). But the only way any of this works is if you WERK!
so...count calories and be honest
up the intensity of your work out a tiny bit ~and DO IT
believe you can
Best of luck I know it can be done (or at least close) if you stick to your plan0
