Fascinating link. At least to me anyway. I have no idea if anyone has posted this before, I just now seen it though. A picture of a week's worth of groceries from families around the world. I wonder how average these truly are?

The pic from the USA is horrifying in the amount of processed stuff.

That was very interesting. If you notice, it's not just the US that has processed food. Off the top of my head England and other developed countries had a lot as well. Loved the Mexico spread, minus the zillion cokes, and Turkey stood out for me. Chad made me really sad.0

Really interesting! I'd love to see more from other countries too.0

Yes.....each one is so interesting. Some are truly humbling.
I did giggle at the German pic, that is a lot of beer.
The ratio of people to the size of the food piles were also amazing.0 -
Me too. I think it would be fascinating to see pics from other MFP users as well.0

Thanks for posting! Very interesting indeed...
You can definitely see the difference between countries such as US, England, and China in comparison to developing countires, such as Chad, Mali and Equador!
BUT - ponder this sarcastic quagmire: how do those carb-lovers in Italy manage to stay so thin? Hmmm...0 -
YOu see, that's where i think genetics comes into play (along with other stuff, of course). They walk/bike more than we do.0

Thought I should share the links for those interested.
As said above I am sure the exercise rates vary quite widely.0
