Heart rate monitor problem

I've had a Polar FT-4 heart rate monitor for several months, and it has begun driving me NUTS the past week or so. It worked without an issue until then. Now it won't keep my heart rate for more than 7 to 10 minutes before it loses signal and has to be reset. I'm ready to throw it up against the wall.
Any ideas?

Probably the battery! Do you take the transmitter off of the strap after use?0

About 98 percent of the time, yes. I'll check the battery!!0

Tighten your chest strap.
Seriously every time I am having problems I just tighten my chest strap and it works just fine
Good problem to have IMO0 -
I have the same model and had to send it back to Polar repair and I had a bad transmitter. Got tired of troubleshooting each piece and sent everything back to them to test. Quick turnaround on getting it fixed and returned with new transmitter.0

Chest strap is tight.
Chest strap is wet.
Chest strap has been cleaned after use so the electrodes aren't gunked up.
No underwire in a bra to interfere.
Try the strap slightly off center for better contact.
Battery could be dying.0
