Greek Yogurt Addiction

I have a new addiction to Fage 0% Plain Greek Yogurt. I substitute it for almost everything these days. No more sour cream, mayonnaise, etc... Yeah, it tastes slightly different, but I love it. I'll mix pesto with the yogurt and use it as a spread for sandwiches. I'll mix it with salsa for a delicious sauce in a Mexican casserole. Am I the only one that has found a new love in Greek Yogurt? What do some of you use Greek Yogurt for?

Smeared onto Rice Cakes and then add cucumber or tomato!
Add a little honey to it and pumpkin seeds or raisins, or any fruit - strawberries or
    pineapple is my fave. Mmmm!
Love me some Greek yogurt aswell :)

If you have a Fred Meyer by you, try their brand of Greek yogurt. Half the price and the same macros for the plain as the 0 Fage. Greek Gods is cheaper too but it has half the protein and twice the carbs. WTF?

Anywho, I love mine with a bit of splenda and sliced strawberries or other berries, blended with frozen berries or other fruit, mixed with no sugar added boysenberry preserves, mixed with real vanilla, splenda, and cinnamon, mixed with canned pumpkin and cinnamon, used in place of sour cream, mixed with onion soup mix for a lovely creamy sauce for pasta or whatnot. Great protein for such a lovely, versatile ingredient!

I love the Dannon Light and Fit Fruit on the bottom Greek Yogurt. Each container is only 80 calories. I have found my local Costco sells it for $10 for 12 cups. I eat average of 12 containers a week. My crohns seems to like the yogurt and I think it tastes great.

I wish I had a Fred Meyer close to me. I love that store, but we don't have them here in Indiana. =( For some reason I don't care much for the fruit in the bottom yogurt. I prefer to put in my own.

I love the greek yogurt that you can purchase at Aldi - who would have known. It does not have artificial sweetener in the fruit flavors, a bit of sugar and the calories are lower than meijers, not to mention a better price too.

I recently tried adding plain yogurt (not greek as that is what I had at the time) to progresso lentil soup - AWESOME - YUM YUM YUM:smile:
