Hi folks!
I joined this site with my sister, to be able to travel this journey with her. I have lost 23 lbs since february, and have another 50 to go. I seem to be struggling lately, and not sure why. I am working out 5 days a week, riding the stationary bike and every other day doing the weight machines. I joined a weight loss group at my church, and they have been following the Diabetic exchange of eating so many servings of each food group a day, which pretty much keeps me within range of calories fats carbs etc that I need to be at. It was working well, but I've hit this plateau. I havent lost any weight in a long time. I dont know if I should drop my eating comsumption for a kick start, or add any because I'm working out alot more now. When I started I wasn't really working out, now that I am I'm not losing. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks

Welcome to MFP! Congrats on the 23 lbs. You'll find that this is a great tool to help you the rest of the way. Good luck!0

I hope you are successful here.
1200 calories is the minimum you should eat each day--not counting exercise calories.
When you count the exercise calories, I suggest sometimes eating all of them, sometimes eating half, and sometimes just eating the 1200 calories. And drink loads of water.
The body, when confronted with changes, gets out of its rut and starts losing.
You can also change your exercise routine.
I had a trainer who had us work our upper torso one day and our lower body the next, 6 days a week, plus we walked a course each of those 6 days. That way you get aerobics almost every day and change up on the muscles worked.
God Bless You, BJB :drinker: (water)0 -
