Kettlebell Routines

Hey all! :) I currently (along with a lot of other exercises) do a Kettlebell routine by FitBlender that I found on Youtube. It's kind of monotonous. 4 circuits of the exact same moves over and over for upwards of 30 minutes. Just wondering what others may do, if I can find one to switch it up with or something. I usually do this one at least 3-4 times a week, and just looking for some other good quality options! Thanks! :flowerforyou:

  • This: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8YS5XbHXPdo is one of my fave kettlebell circuits when I just need to do something different. (I love this lady's videos, she has a ton of great circuits and workouts). It includes cleans and rows, but I add 3 sets of swings to keep my heart rate up.

  • My favorite is the 10-minute Solutions Kettlebell Routines DVD with Michele Olson. http://www.amazon.com/10-Minute-Solution-Kettle-Burner/dp/B004IQHYOM If I'm really pressed for time, I can still get in a great workout in 10 minutes, or usually I'll string 2 or 3 of them together (there are 5 total). They seem easy ("hmmm.... this isn't really doing anything"), then the next day you can feel every muscle.

Even though she uses classic kettlebell moves, she uses a dumbell instead of a k'bell for every workout. That's good by me because I don't have a kettlebell (although I've used them in classes at the gym)--but she tells you how to hold it whether you're using a k'bell or dumbbell. Anyway, the DVD is only $11.00, and I highly recommend. Haven't looked to see if she has her routines on YouTube.

I have the Iron Core kettlebell dvds by Sara Lurie that I got on amazon. It's 4 dvds for $11, so lots of ideas for little expense. I use this, fitness blender and I also have kettle body by brook to mix it up. I do 2 30-50 min kettlebell workouts a week.

I just restarted live fit revolution which is a free series designed by a RKB trainer than starts pretty simple and adds more/new moves every workout. http://livefitrevolution.org/

  • Jillian Michaels and Bob Harper both have kettle bell work outs. I have the Jillian one and I need to dust it off. I have done it once before and I thought it was a good work out. Here is the link on amazon:
