Need help! Serious hip pain.

After a couple days of working out, I start to get serious hip pain.
I'm not doing anything high impact, I constantly check my form, I do light yoga every couple of days, and always give myself a day off so my muscles can relax at least once a week.
Mostly I'm using an elliptical, and once a week I do a workout video. Either Brazil Butt Lift, Yoga Meltdown, or Leslie Sansones Walk Away The Pounds.
But I'm still getting a really achy hip. I don't know if this is just me getting use to the amount of working out I'm now doing (I use to workout three times a week, now its five or six) or if maybe its something else.
Anyone else have this problem? Any advice would be appreciated greatly.

Try stretching out your hip flexors0

I would say get it checked by a Dr. We discovered my daughter had hip dysplasia when she was in 4th grade, and many women find out when they are older.0

The elliptical mimics running closely enough. I would suggest checking out this video. It enlightened my coworker who was having debilitating pain, and had docs trying to push SURGERY to correct it. He's doing much better now.

I was getting nasty left hip pain on walking, i found that doing slow twists from side to side and holding it helped temporarily, but ultimately, I had to see a Chiropractor to get it fixed0

I've been doing this. I have a couple really get stretches for hip flexers.
Thank you all for your replies, still trying to figure out exactly what it is.0 -
Odds are that you have a weakness in an underused hip muscle. Try to start doing some simple bodyweight squats (check online for guides for proper form) to help build some strength in your hips.0
