Struggling To Get To My Dreams...

I'm an 18 year old female who will be graduating at the end of May.

I have been over-weight for quite some time and have a lot of trouble trying to find clothes that match my personality and also look good on me. I have always had confidence problems, along with other issues in trying to keep myself in shape. I recently moved to a new town because my mom got married, and met a few friends who have inspired me to lose the weight and set my goals.

My friend Logan told me I should try enlisting in the Army National Guard for the experience and also to get my life started... I really want to do this more than anything else, but first I have to make tape to be accepted, and I also have to get myself in the best physical condition I can before shipping off to basic training.

This is going to one of the hardest things I have ever had to do. I never thought I would have to lose 50 pounds to be at a normal weight at my height.. I am 5'5" and I weigh 185 pounds, my goal is to get down to 145 by next February. I'm not 100% sure I will be able to successfully do so, but I will try my hardest.

    Hi,

I'm Becca. I am 20 years old. I completely understand how you feel. Nothing is more disheartening than seeing a cute outfit and knowing it doesn't fit right on you when everyone else your age can wear it. I believe you and I can help keep each other motivated to reach our goals. Everyone on here is very friendly. In no time you will have a group of people cheering you on towards your goals.

Oh my goodness..you sound just like I did when I was your age. I decided to go into the Navy. I tried for the Air Force and the recruiter told me to lose weight and get a breast reduction.

I can totally relate to your story. I am going to add you. I hope I can help out =)
