11 days and going STRONG

Hi Everybody,
I just wanted to finally officially introduce myself. I've been tracking my food on here for 11 days now and LOVING it!!! Slowly working exercise into my routine and trying to increase my water intake. I have a long way to go but I'm completely determined. I've cut out all "white" food from my diet (white rice, white pasta, sugar, etc) and I've given up on my convenient fast-food dinners. I've been looking up some of the nutritional facts on my old favorite foods and I'm completely blown away. Who knew that my favorite burrito from Chipotle was worth an entire day's worth of calories??!! I have way more dishes to do lately, but I'm feeling good. The big 30th birthday is coming up in October and I'd love to have made a decent dent in my goal by then. Good luck to all of us!

Hi and well done! Tomorrow is day 11 for me on this site (three weeks overall!) and like you, I'm loving it! I'm back to the gym as of a couple of weeks ago, and now with the healthy diet and regular eating of good, proper food, I'm feeling like a million dollars! Lots of water too, and have given up cafeine. I have a pretty good routine going with meals and regular healthy snacks, and preparation really is half the battle. I find you can't pick mindlessly at food when you've gone to the trouble of making a nice salad for lunch, or weighing out snacks! I swear by my scales these days! Yeah, I'm a sucker for reading labels as well- although I read them in the past and didn't care! It feels different now, and with this website I've taken a real "project" approach to the whole thing. I've around 30 pounds to lose, but for the first time ever I think I'm really going to do it! I'm actually looking forward to a weigh-in this Saturday- god, never thought I'd say that! Fingers crossed its good news!
