I need to get a new camera. I'm going to Germany in July so I need something small but easy to use that takes great pics. Can anyone recommend a good camera?

Thanks so much!
Lisa

  • Looking for a DSLR or a Point and Shoot? You can usually find deals on Nikons. I got mine Nikon D3100 with 2 lenses, a carrying case and a DVD for $700 from Costco.

Sounds like you'd be fine with a good point and shoot. Canon and Nikon are both respectable brands. Do you want a viewfinder? Some cameras sacrifice the viewfinder for bigger screens on the back. I'd check Amazon for reviews.

I say go for the Nikon CoolPix or the Canon PowerShot series. I personally use Canon, but both have comparable features and good quality. Couple models I like are the Nikon CoolPix P330 or the Canon PowerShot S110. They are both compact too. Cheers.
